At Fairway Ford Lincoln, we have a tradition of community involvement. It's important that we give back to the Upstate folks who have supported us for over 40 years.
During our most recent Foothills Mustang Club 'Stang Show, we hosted a food drive for Harvest Hope Food Bank. We raised 234 lbs of food which is 1,170 meals! Thanks so much to everyone who came out and donated non-perishable items!
We were so proud to sponsor the Pawmetto Derby Party "The Run for the Noses" benefiting the Greenville Humane Society. The event was held at the Old Cigar Warehouse in downtown Greenville, and we could not ask for a more wonderful night! The event raised over $35,000 for the GHS.
The FAIRWAY Fur Fighters had a great time at the 2013 Mutt Strut to benefit the Greenville Humane Society! The event raised over $40,000! Thank you to everyone who supported us!
This summer, The Wounded Warriors Family Support Mustang will hit the road for the High Five Tour 2013. During the five-month tour, the 2013 Mustang GT500 “Super Snake” will cover more than 21,000 miles, traveling to more than 60 cities and making stops in 48 states. And we were so thrilled to have them stop here at Fairway Ford yesterday! Folks were able to show their support for military families by signing the car with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families. A good time was had by all!
Wow, we had a great turnout for our Operation Gratitude "Drive." For everyone who took a new Ford vehicle for a test drive, funds for one care package were donated to Operation Gratitude! The care packages will be distributed to a wide variety of military members, including deployed military members, their families, care givers, veterans, first responders, and Wounded Warriors. Thanks to everyone who came out!
We are so proud of our very own Spot McKissick!!! Spot was the "Top Dog" Fundraiser at this year's Pet Project Runway to benefit the Greenville Humane Society. Spot & his adopted sister, Sweetheart, raised $16,000 for the Greenville Humane Society! Woof!
Ford salesman, Roscoe Brown, helped organize our Food Drive for the Salvation Army of Greenville County! He saw a news segment on how in need they were, and took steps to set up a drop-off at Fairway Ford! (Our barrel was filled to the brim after just one weekend!!!)
"What a fabulous evening! Thank you for your support of the 18th annual Sweetheart Charity Ball. Together, we raised more than 30,000 meals for the homebound in Greenville."
|To our good
friends at Fairway Ford, |
Greetings from the Meyer Center for Special Children! Thank you for your recent gift. We truly appreciate your kind and generous support.
Best wishes for a happy and very prosperous 2013!
To showcase the new 2013 Ford Fusion, Fairway Ford hosted "Go Further with Ford Night" to benefit Loaves and Fishes of Greenville County. Loaves & Fishes, a mobile food rescue organization, works to provide a solution to hunger and waste in our community. They rescue perishable and prepared food and deliver to organizations that feed the hungry. In 2011, L&F rescued and delivered more than 1,300,000 meals worth of food to more than 90 emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, and other human services organizations in Greenville County.
The United Way of Greenville County recognizes the employees of Fairway Ford with the Campaign Award of Advancement 2011!
We spent a Thursday morning packaging over 1,500 meals for Meals on Wheels of Greenville County, and we had a blast! Meals on Wheels is a fantastic organization that provides hot meals daily for homebound residents in our community.
As partners with Hands On Greenville, we teamed up at Meals on Wheels of Greenville County.
Dear Mr. Bullock,
Your vision of providing school supplies for needy school children is inspiring. Many of us have good intentions, but few follow through with them. It is so easy to make excuses for not following through. You, on the other hand, are the exception. Not only did you motivate others to donate, you dipped into your own pocket. Now that is someone who is committed to need school children!
The timing of the 'Fill the Trunk' event was fortuitious. Donations that came in before school started and shortly thereafter were diminishing. Key supplies were gone while requests continued to flow in from throughout the district. How unbelievable it was to receive your call to sponsor a school supply event. You are unusual, Mr. Bullock, in another way. You asked what was needed and provided the list to potential donors. That may seem like a small detail, but it assisted donors to provide what was needed rather than duplicate what was not needed at the moment.
The supplies that we just depleted were restocked with your donation. Colored pencils, scissors, composition books, backpacks, scissors, index cards, subject dividers adn paper are all 'hot' items this year. It was exciting to find those were the items that your contributors donated. The backpacks you and your wife purchased were a special treat! They are sturdy with plenty of room for books and notebooks. We are always in need of backpacks of that quality.
Please extend our appreciation to Fairway Ford for supporting your vision. The School Social Work Department expresses their gratitude to all those who took the time to purchase and deliver school supplies. A special thanks to you, Mr. Bullock, for spearheading this initiate. Your benevolence is greatly appreciated.
